The best part of the street fashion week:

When Hel-looks updates their website. My personal favorite street fashion blog that has variety and a good reputation. If I could make a living off of photographing random people I think dress well, I would. The new favorites.

I'm really into fake fur, maybe when it gets colder I'll feel the need to try it out. And these tights are everywhere, anyone know where they're from? They must be cheap so I want some!

Actually quoted saying he loves the nerd look, ha.

This isn't from their most recent update but I really enjoy how obvious it is that she wasn't going for the stunningly beautiful. The suit sort of stunts her body shape but in a really fashion appealing way and the necklace that her friend made is amazing. I love huge jewelry like this.

The start of a really boring week I can FEEL IT! I spend all my time sitting in Danish school not knowing what the helll is going on and trying not to go insane. I am becoming stupider by the hour! Must read more! Must buy a new computer!

Sianara, hav en god uge ;)
Igoogle translate it.

Tastes exactly right.

A little bit of couture I ran into on style.com that happens to encompass everything I would ever dream to be. I am considering trying to create something far simpler but inspired by this collection though working with so much lace, chiffon and silk can be daunting for such a beginner. The collection isn't really that coherent but the pieces that I love I REALLY love. I think everyone should look this much like a doll all the time.

Alexis Mabille

Toward the end it got a little too dark for me and I am not a huge fan of the ankleless tights but overall I really like this guy.

Enjoying a lazy day or 368.

Oh, the things you may find if you simply start with what you know. I have spent many days arguing with myself over whether or not I should actually put effort into withholding a blog. I live in Denmark as of now and am both overwhelmed with the design and fashion relevance here and overcome with lazyness. I have no real school elements or structure because I am simply an exchange student in a high school learning in a language I do not yet know thoroughly.

I have this year before I am off to college of some sort and I seem to be unravelling in amost mistifying way. I dream of living a life where I create and am surrounded by design. I adore and marvel at fashion design. I am both dumbfounded and amazed by graphic design. Architecture seems altogether impossible. But I always go back to that in my head.

I have decided to produce this blog as means of both rambling and going out in search of something I can really hold on to. To teach myself the names of a few photographers and designers I can remember and know and love. To have some way to shape my own tastes if only slightly and with no real guidelines.

So, I have started at ffffound.com, a bookmarking website full of incredible design and photography that a select group of people pick out for the site. It has much traffic and is throughougly well known so I do not feel it needs much of an introduction.

I can therefore say that my goal for the day has been entirely achieved, I have found one of my new favorite designers that regretably I did not know of before now. I have only just begun to sift through Hedi Slimane's photo diary and fashion diary but am brought to my knees with gratification for this legendary designer.

One of the greats of all time. Here are a few photos that really struck me, or the tip of the ice berg that is my love for this man.

To show simply a few. It could take me a good few hours to look through all of these, thankfully I skpped danish school today and am drinking tea in the basement room of my host family. More to come and at a rapid rate, I can feel the beginning of something.

Chloe touches my heart

Alright, so the fact that nobody reads my blog is probably the reason that I have not been posting at all but at least for today I'm having another wave of inspiration. Maybe it's from looking at the shockingly ugly Balenciaga spring 2009 collection that I feel I need to bring myself back into this tiny bit of the fashion world I can be a part of. I'm sorry but the fact that Nicholas Ghesquiere thought that aliens was enough to create a line of off is baffling to me. Some of the tops I enjoyed and the over the shoulder shrink wrap technique makes a women look beautiful but come on. When he said his collection was "out there" I think it was a total understatement. You can decide for yourself I suppose:

These were certainly of the worst in the collection but you get the point. The only thing that saved it for me were the men because they just looked sharp. Didn't fit with the rest of it at all. I thought you could never dissapoint me balenciaga! But boy was I wrong.

Sorry I just needed to rant a bit.. On a happier note

CHLOE SPRING 2009 WAS SO OUTRAGEOUSLY ADORABLE!!

How beautiful! Everything about this collection and show were amazing to me. The colors are exactly the way I feel about this coming spring. Thank youuuu Chloe.

Snow Snow Snow Fashion New Red Hair Christmas Snow Snow

It's been a few days.. I keep on giving up on being a real blogger and then I realize that it's something to keep me occupied while locked inside during a crazy snow storm. Why is this happening in the state that only gets rain rain rain rain rain sun rain rain rain rain. Very much snow. I slipped on ice yesterday twice in a row and hit my head. Needless to say vintage slouch boots with no traction whatsoever are not ice compatible. It hurt.

I died my hair red! And then I received the new Vogue today and noticed a feature on change and dying your hair red. I always knew I was slightly ahead of the curve.. ha ha ha. It looks like this:

I want to die it even more red because I'm addicted!!

Also, Starting on the 5th of January I have an internship at a cute little Shoe Boutique in my town and I simply cannot wait for that. Things are coming along. Since I've been talking about cold weather and red heads, look at this cute swedish girl found on stockholm streetstyle. Really and I can do these days is admire and be inspired by good street fashion. It's pretty real is all.

It's a list

So I'm not going to go intro extreme detail today about anything at all because it's just not so light here. The rain and the wet feet and the days without people. Blaahhh, anyway, I haven't had a whole lot of time to devote to thinking about fashion. Maybe that's the first sign that I'm not cut out for this world but I'm not going to accept that as a fact just yet.

Here are a few things from foreverXXI and maybe some other places that I want for christmas.

That's just a bit of the stuff that I really find adorable. Anything ornate, floral and vintage looking is my cup of tea.

Balenciaga and not knowing stuff

So, while scanning the November Vogue today (since my subscription sucks and I always get new issues late) I couldn't help but notice how many times a certain pair of yellow Balenciaga sandals seem to pop up. At least three times throughout the entire issue. I tried to find a photo of them all over the net and did not succeed, I'm assuming this is because they're from the spring collection that's not on the site anymore. Anywway, I can't decide if I thought their re occurrence was stupid, since it's Winter, or if global warming proves sandals are still acceptable this time of year. They're interestingly popular however. So instead of wasting my time talking about sandals that you can't even see, I thought I'd just comment on a few of my favorites this year in the Balenciaga "pre-collection" (I'm going to pretend I know what that means. Anyone who knows should tell me). What's more, the pre-collection is stunning and original.

These are my two favorite, they just happen to both be worn by the same model. I absolutely adore the contrast and femininity of the first as well as the detail on the jacket. I'm a huge fan of scarves, specifically paisley ones so the second was a definite winner in my eyes, haha. The boots not so much but the intricate tweed jacket is lovely.

That's all for now, I sure do love Balenciaga these days.
